One Of Our Reasons For Existence As The Human Rights Centre Uganda Is To Advocate For A Conducive Environment For The Promotion And Protection Of Human Rights And Fundamental Freedoms I'm Uganda, With a Focus on Human Rights Defenders (HRDs).

 


We Do This Through Capacity Building For Human Rights Defenders (State And Non State) To Understand The Concepts Of Human Rights and Human Rights Defenders And How Best To Go About Their Work.



 

The Other Way Is By Creating Forums/Platforms Through Which Human Rights Defenders Can Interact And Share Experiences (Issues And Possible Practical Solutions; Challenges and; Good Practices) In The Course Of Their Work.

 


Through the media campaign, radio talk shows have offered a wonderful platform for information sharing and dissemination on the concept of human rights, human rights defenders and the key issues/challenges within the different sub regions. Strategies for improvement of the working and human rights environment are shared and listeners' questions responded to.


 


HRCU Has Recorded Tremendous Improvement In Knowledge And Capacities Of HRDs Across The Regions Of Uganda.
