HRCU WEEKLY UPDATE ON THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT OF HRDS: ISSUE NO.4 OF 2022
Good morning dear Human Rights Defender and HRCU Partner;
Well done
in all spheres of life, especially in the promotion and protection of human
rights and fundamental freedoms.
This communication is to check with you to see that you didn’t miss some of the news items.
Please receive and read through the links shared herein.
Our mandate is to contribute to a society where
everyone enjoys their universally recognized/inherent rights and freedoms; a society
where everyone is treated with respect and dignity; where institutions actually
operate independently to protect the citizenry at all material times.
It is everyone’s responsibility to work individually
or in association with others to advocate for an end to torture, inhuman,
degrading treatment or punishment and to promote all other rights spelt out in
Chapter Four of the Constitution and other regional and international human
rights instruments.
