Let’s keep in mind that as human rights defenders, we have the right to develop and discuss new ideas meaning that we should always utilize the information we receive to think of innovative ways of dealing with the various violations and abuses of rights within our communities and society. There was anxiety in the course of last week as parents and Primary Seven leavers looked forward to receiving their Primary Leaving Examinations results. These were released by Hon.       THE HUMAN RIGHTS CENTRE UGANDA (HRCU) WEEKLY UPDATE ON HUMAN RIGHTS AND KEY EMERGING ISSUES WITHIN THE HUMAN RIGHTS DEFENDERS' WORKING ENVIRONMENT ISSUE NO.26 of 2021 |The Week of 05 July- July 11, 2021   Uganda's Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja on Thursday 8 th July 2021 launched the distribution of COVID-19 relief funds to vulnerable citizens as the country remains under lockdown in a bid to curb the spread of the virus. However, the processes has been marred with controversies especially with regards to identification of the vulnerable beneficiaries.
